India is no longer just an AI market. It is becoming the AI engine room. ⚡
Global AI companies are now renting capacity in Indian data centres to serve customers far beyond India - because power and capacity delays elsewhere are forcing them to spread their compute across countries. That is the headline from a Times of India report this week, and it matters far more for your team than it first appears.
Two numbers tell the story
- Yotta. Sunil Gupta, co-founder and CEO, says they are already hosting international AI customers, with large capacities contracted - and those workloads serve the world, not just local users.
- CtrlS. A conversation that starts at 20MW of capacity can quickly turn into 100MW or more. As founder and CEO Sridhar Pinnapureddy puts it: "AI is compressing the time available to respond while increasing the scale we need to build for."
Read that again. Compressing the time to respond. Increasing the scale to build.
This is a skills problem, not just a server problem 🧠
When compute scales five-fold, the humans around it have to scale too - in judgement, in critical thinking, in the ability to ask an AI tool the right question and then challenge the answer it gives back.
Higher power densities and advanced cooling can be planned alongside land, transmission and future expansion. That is an engineering and capital problem, and India is solving it fast.
Judgement cannot be procured. It has to be trained.
A data centre can be built in months. A team that can think critically alongside AI takes longer - and it decides whether the compute actually pays off.
Where the gap actually sits
In the workshops I run, the pattern is consistent. Teams adopt tools quickly and then stall, because the constraint was never access. It is knowing when the model is confidently wrong, what a safe prompt looks like for client data, and how to keep a human decision in the loop where it matters.
That is not a technology project. It is a capability one, and it is solvable.
What teams take away from my sessions
- AI workflows that save 10+ hours a week on repetitive work
- Critical Thinking with AI Tools - how to verify, not just generate
- Six Sigma + AI for manufacturing quality and healthcare operations
- Communication, managerial and collaboration skills that make AI adoption actually stick
- A verifiable digital certificate for every participant
Who I am
I am Sudeep Ghosh - 19 years in industry, 60+ workshops, 2,700+ learners and 1,000+ hours of training, helping professionals partner with AI instead of being displaced by it. My work sits at the intersection of two things: practical AI capability, and the human skills that no model replaces - communication, collaboration, critical thinking, emotional intelligence, mindful decision-making.
You can see the full range of programmes on the training page, and pick up the prompt library and AI-readiness checklist from free resources.
Infrastructure is coming to India at speed. The capability has to come from us. 🚀
